Subsequent Work

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Secure pressure hoses at the bottom on both sides of the charge-air cooler.

    > Tightening torque 5.5 Nm (4 ftlb.) +/- 0.5 Nm (0.3 ftlb.) 

  2. V8 Turbo only:  Install air guide -1-  at the radiator frame.
    1. 2.1 Position air guide -2-  and secure with clips.

  3. Install air-cleaner cowl -1-  .

    > 242719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR-CLEANER COWL

    1. 3.1 Tighten screw-type clamps -3-  .

      Screw-type clamp securing cowl to air cleaner housing: > Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)

  4. Secure intake scoops -1-  .
    1. 4.1 Connect intake scoops and tighten screw-type clamps -2-  .

      Screw-type clamp on air box for intake pipe: > Tightening torque 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.)

  5. Install engine cover.

    > WM, 108319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE COVER (DESIGN COVER) (V6 TURBO) 

  6. Install engine compartment trim panel.

    > WM, 700219 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING FRONT TRIM PANEL (ENGINE COMPARTMENT)

  7. Install front wheel housing liners.

    > Removing and installing front wheel housing liner 

  8. Install rear cardan shaft.

    > 393519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR CARDAN SHAFT

  9. Secure ATF lines to the ATF cooler.

    > WM, 386219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ATF COOLING LINE (REAR SECTION) , WM, 386219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ATF COOLING LINE (FRONT SECTION)

  10. Secure air-conditioning lines to the cooler.

    > 875019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONDENSER

  11. Install exhaust system.

    > WM, 260119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING EXHAUST SYSTEM

  12. Fill up coolant.

    > WM, 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT

  13. Fill in refrigerant.

    > 870317 DRAINING AND FILLING REFRIGERANT R1234YF

  14. Check engine oil.

    > WM, 170101 CHECKING ENGINE-OIL LEVEL

  15. Connect battery ground strap.

    > WM, 270619 REMOVING AND REINSTALLING BATTERY

    > Tightening torque 6 Nm (4.5 ftlb.) 

  16. Fill in ATF.

    > WM, 370235 CHECKING AND TOPPING UP ATF

  17. Perform suspension alignment.

    > 449503 PERFORMING FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT

  18. Perform a test drive.

    After the cooling system has cooled down again, check the engine coolant level in the reservoir and top up to the Maximum mark if necessary.
