Removing Filler Flap (Module)

Installation position of filler flap (module)

  1. Disengage emergency release for filler flap (module) -1-  from the side trim panel -2-  .

  2. Unclip clip -2-  on emergency release for filler flap (module) -1-  .

  3. Loosen fuel filler tube -5-  .

    Fuel filler tube

    1. 3.1 Unscrew screws -1, 2, 3-  .
    2. 3.2 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -4-  .
    3. 3.3 Disconnect fuel filler tube -5-  with holders from the body.
  4. Loosen filler flap (module) -3-  .

    Filler flap (module)

    1. 4.1 Pull off rubber sleeve -1-  .
    2. 4.2 Loosen locking lugs -2-  using a slotted screwdriver.
  5. Remove filler flap (module).

    Filler flap (module)

    1. 5.1 Swivel filler flap (module) out of the body aperture until the electric plug connections are accessible.
    2. 5.2 Release and unplug electric plug connections -1 and 2-  .
    3. 5.3 Pull drain hose -3-  off the filler flap (module).
    4. 5.4 Remove filler flap (module).
  6. Unclip retaining strap -3-  on filler flap (module) and remove fuel tank cap -4-  .

Fuel tank cap
