Assembling Spring Damper

Fit stop buffer -1- and protective sleeve -2- .
1. 1.1 Fit protective sleeve -2- on stop buffer -1- .
2. 1.2 Slide stop -1- buffer with protective sleeve -2- onto piston rod.

Stop buffer and protective sleeve
Slide supporting washer -1- onto piston rod -2- and check that the cut-out in the supporting washer is positioned correctly in relation to the piston rod.

Support washer
Fit shock absorber mounting -1- .
1. 3.1 Slide the shock absorber mounting -1- onto the piston rod -3- as far as the support washer stop.
2. 3.2 Screw on the nut -2- and tighten using > T10001 - shock absorber set while at the same time holding back the multiple-tooth screw of the piston rod -3- .
  > Tightening torque 53 Nm (39.1 ftlb.)
