Installing Front Brake CALLIPER

Information 

• The use of an impact bolter is not permitted. 
• The thread must be checked visually and may have to be blown out carefully using compressed air. Always wear protective goggles when doing this! 
• Replace screws. 

Information 

Do not bend the brake lines.

• For easier access, turn the steering fully to the left or right! 

1. Visually check that all parts are in perfect condition and replace them if necessary.

   Information 

   Use >T10439 - assembly pins  > Assembly pin for brake calliper Assembly pin for brake caliper  to make it easier to remove/install the brake calliper.

2. Fit front brake calliper -2-  on the wheel bearing housing.

   Mounting for front brake calliper

   1. 2.1 Reset disc brake pads using >9472 - brake piston resetting fixture. 
   2. 2.2 Carefully move brake calliper into installation position.
   3. 2.3 Tighten the screws -1-  .

      > Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.) 

      > Final tightening torque angle + 90° 

3. Fit brake line -2-  on brake calliper and tighten union nut -1-  . >Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.5 ftlb.)

4. Secure brake line holder -5-  on wheel bearing housing and tighten screws -4-  . >Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)

5. Connect and lock electric plug connection for brake pad wear indicator -1-  .
