Installing Front Brake Disc

Do not confuse left and right brake discs during installation!
Distinguishing feature: Part number! The flat surface of the brake discs is marked with R = right or L = left!

Assembly pin for brake calliper
- Only when re-using brake discs:
Check thickness of front disc brake pads.
- Only when re-using brake discs:
Check front brake disc (wear assessment).
- Clean the levelling and centering surfaces on the brake disc and wheel hub.
- Apply a very thin coat of Optimally TA to the centering surface on the wheel hub.
- Further installation is performed in reverse order.
- Screw in and tighten brake disc screws > Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)
- Screw in and tighten screws on brake line holder > Tightening torque 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
- Reset disc brake pads using > 9472 - brake piston resetting fixture .
- Screw in and tighten new
screws for the brake calliper
> Initial tightening 30 Nm (22.1 ftlb.)
> Final tightening torque angle + 90°
