Installing Front Anti-Roll Bar

- Position anti-roll bar in installation position.
Information
Align anti-roll-bar mount -1- as shown -Illustration- .

- Install anti-roll bar clamps -1-
with anti-roll bar mounts.
Mounting for anti-roll bar clamps
- 2.1 Screw in fastening screws -2- (do not tighten!).
- Install threaded joint -3-
(do not tighten!).
Mounting for connecting link for anti-roll bar
- Tighten threaded joints in zero position.WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly
- Risk of crushing
- Risk of damage to components
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).
Information
Threaded joints must only be tightened in zero position to prevent warping in the bearings.
- 4.1 Lift the wheel bearing housing as far as required using lifting equipment (e.g > VAS 6931 - Transmission and Engine Jack
) until the lower trailing arm is horizontal > Zero position (shown on rear axle as an example)

- 4.2 Tighten fastening screws -2-
> Initial tightening 50 Nm (37 ftlb.)
> Final tightening + 30°

- 4.3 Tighten threaded joint -3- > Initial tightening 70 Nm (52 ftlb.) > Final tightening + 90°
