Removing Front-Axle Carrier
- Only for vehicles with PDCC:
Remove wire harness for PDCC -1-
.
Mounting for PDCC wire harness
- 1.1 Unscrew fastening screw for ground line -2- .
- 1.2 Loosen bracket -3- .
- 1.3 Release and disconnect electric plug connections from the PDCC control unit in the sequence -1 to 5- .

- Disconnect electric line for steering -1-
and transmission -2-
at the anti-roll bar mount -3-

- 2.1 Unclip electric line for steering -1- at -Position A- on the anti-roll bar mount.
- 2.2 Unclip electric line for transmission -2- at -Position B- on the anti-roll bar mount.
- Loosen electric line -1-
on the power-steering gear -2-

- 3.1 Release and disconnect electric connector -3- .
- 3.2 Loosen bracket -4- .
- Remove universal joint -1-
on power-steering gear.

- 4.1 Unscrew fastening screw -2- .
- Only for vehicles with diesel engines:
Loosen the heat insulation at the top on both sides of the vehicle.

- 5.1 Unscrew nuts -2- .
WARNING: Working with ATF- Possible danger of injury or damage (e.g. swollen hoses, skin irritation, danger of slipping, etc.)
→ Before lines are opened, place a cloth underneath them!
→ Components that come into contact with ATF must be cleaned IMMEDIATELY with water!
→ Take appropriate protective measures (protective clothing, safety goggles, oil binding material)
→ Collect emerging ATF!

- Close off connections and lines using suitable stoppers or caps.
- Only for vehicles with I-no. A8F or A8H:
Disconnect ATF cooling line (front part) -1-
on the ATF cooler.

- 6.1 Place a drip pan underneath to collect emerging oil.
- 6.2 Unscrew fastening screw -2- and disconnect ATF cooling line (front part) -1- on the ATF cooler.
- Loosen moulded hose -1-
at the bottom on both sides of the vehicle at the charge-air cooler.

- 7.1 Loosen screw-type clamp -bottom arrow- and pull off pressure hose.
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3-
from the horn -1-
on both sides of the vehicle.

Information
When you loosen the fastening screws securing the engine mount to the engine, the fastening screw -1- securing the front-axle carrier to the engine mount is accessible when the front-axle carrier is lowered.

- Only for vehicles with V6 engines:
Loosen fastening screws -2-
securing the engine mount -1-
to the engine by a few turns on both sides of the vehicle (do not unscrew fully!).

- Only for vehicles with V8 engines:
Remove engine mounts on both sides of the vehicle from the engine.

- 10.1 Only for vehicles with V8 diesel engines: Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- on the engine mount.
- 10.2 Unscrew fastening screw -2- .
- Raise the front-axle carrier using > VAS 6832 - Master Gear unit elevating platform and
> VAS 6832/7 - Assembly fixture - Panamera G2
.
- 11.1 > VAS 6832/7 - Assembly fixture - Panamera G2
must be prepared in such a way that only the assembly drivers -1-
for the front axle including the supports -2 to 4-
are fitted (see "VA" (front axle) marking on > VAS 6832/7 - Assembly fixture - Panamera G2
).
Preparing VAS 6832/7 for mounting front-axle carrier
- 11.2 > VAS 6832 - Master Gear unit elevating platform with > VAS 6832/7 - Assembly fixture - Panamera G2 must be positioned under the vehicle and the height of the assembly drivers and supports must be adjusted so that the front-axle carrier can be raised evenly.
- 11.3 Carefully guide the assembly drivers into the jacking points -1-
on the front-axle carrier.

- 11.4 Only for vehicles without all-wheel drive: Fit wheel hub holder -1- at both sides using assembly pins/wheel bolt -2- on the wheel hub.

- 11.1 > VAS 6832/7 - Assembly fixture - Panamera G2
must be prepared in such a way that only the assembly drivers -1-
for the front axle including the supports -2 to 4-
are fitted (see "VA" (front axle) marking on > VAS 6832/7 - Assembly fixture - Panamera G2
).
- Mark the position of the front-axle carrier (at least at the 2 front bolting points on the front-axle carrier) on the body -1-
. This will give you a rough idea of the correct position for re-installation.

Mounting for front-axle carrier
- 13.1 Unscrew fastening screws -7 and 8- on both sides of the vehicle and remove struts -3- .
- 13.2 Unscrew fastening screws -4 to 7- on both sides of the vehicle (fastening screw -5- is only installed on V6 engines).
- Only for vehicles with V6 engines:
Remove front-axle carrier on both sides of the vehicle from the engine mount.

- 14.1 > VAS 6832 - Master Gear unit elevating platform must be lowered as far as required until the fastening screw -1- is accessible.
- 14.2 Unscrew fastening screw -1- .
- > VAS 6832 - Master Gear unit elevating platform must be lowered carefully.
