Information
Identification
- The components and cables are marked in accordance with current standards.
- There is no need to use additional identification stickers (as used on hybrid vehicles) for the vehicle in the workshop.
- Hybrid vehicles with or without PDCC are identified by the existing green and red stickers.
- There is no need to disconnect contacts when working on adjacent systems.
Documentation
- Individual HV components and standalone HV systems without a HV energy store are not documented during the test log.
- If work is interrupted, the condition of disconnected contacts must be checked before starting the tasks again (e.g. disconnected and masked cables).
Qualification
- Employees with in-depth electrical training and system knowledge.
- Prerequisite in the Porsche dealer organisation: Qualification to the level of HVT and system qualification (e.g. by completing training/WBT) for the 48 V vehicle electrical system.
Disposal
- The 48 V additional battery is not exempt from the legal requirements relating to the disposal of solid and liquid waste materials.
- As an undamaged unit, it is not specifically listed as hazardous waste.
- The 48 V additional battery contains materials that can damage the environment if not disposed of correctly.
- The main material here is the electrolyte, which contains acetonitrile and tetraethylammonium tetrafluoroborate.
- These materials must be disposed of by waste disposal companies that specialise in industrial waste and do not release components of ultra-capacitors into the environment or dispose of waste in rubbish dumps.
- National laws and regulations and local laws and regulations must be met.
Transport
- The energy value is approx. 6.75 Wh, i.e. the 48 V additional battery is not subject to any other regulations of the ADR, IMDG code and IATA-DGR, which means that no special packaging is required.
- If the 48 V additional battery has to be transported, always use the original packaging.
