Battery installed in a vehicle No restrictions regarding where the vehicle may be parked/held in storage. Recommendation:
If a battery needs to be replaced, the battery should only be removed after the replacement battery has been delivered so that the replacement battery packaging can be used. |
- Park the vehicle in the defined quarantine location (outdoors and at a distance of at least 5 metres from buildings) and cordon off using > VAS 6884 - high-voltage barrier tape
and warning signs > VAS 6881 - warning sign (No unauthorised access)
, > VAS 6882 - warning sign (No fire, naked flames or smoking)
, > VAS 6649 - warning sign (Warning of dangerous electrical voltage)
> VAS 6786 - warning sign (Warning of dangers associated with batteries)

- Consult Technical Support and agree on how to proceed.
- Check the battery at regular intervals at least once a day.
- Observe a quarantine period of at least 5 days before transporting.
The vehicle can be brought into the workshop in consultation with Technical Support for removal/repairs. However, it should remain there for as short a time as possible. |
Battery not installed in a vehicle

- Prepare > VAS 6885 - lattice box for high-voltage batteries

- Move lattice box to the designated quarantine location.
- Place battery in lattice box and seal the box.
- Mark the box and storage location as required and cordon off using high-voltage barrier tape VAS 6884 and warning signs VAS 6881, VAS 6882, VAS 6649, VAS 6786.
- Consult Technical Support and agree on how to proceed.
- Check the battery at regular intervals at least once a day.
- Observe a quarantine period of at least 5 days before transporting.
