Preliminary Work

Disengage push rod from brake booster at the brake pedal.

1.1 > 9897 - Unlocking tool -1- must be guided into the support -2- for the ball joint of the push rod from below.

1.2 > 9897 - Unlocking tool must be pressed into the support from behind -arrow A- .

Disengaging push rod from brake booster at the brake pedal (at the sides)

1.3 The pressure -arrow A- must cause the fork -1- of the > 9897 - unlocking tool to prise the retaining lugs -2- apart -arrow B- .

Remove cross panel.
> WM, 508119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CROSS PANEL
Disconnect refrigerant line -1- at the expansion valve.
> WM, 874419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING EVAPORATOR/CONDENSER LINE

Refrigerant line
Drain the brake fluid reservoir.
