Removing Coolant Temperature Sensor (Cylinder Housing)

Information 

When the engine is cold, the cap on the coolant reservoir can be opened briefly in order to release residual pressure in the cooling system.

  1. Set oil and coolant lines aside.

    Information 

    If sealing rings remain stuck in the cylinder head, pull with a wire.

    Information 

    Re-install temperature sender (cylinder crankcase) as quickly as possible or close it off using a suitable stopper to prevent unnecessary coolant loss.

  2. Remove coolant temperature sensor (cylinder housing) -1-  .
    1. 2.1 Release and unplug electric plug connection -2-  .
    2. 2.2 Place a cloth underneath to soak up emerging coolant.
    3. 2.3 Unscrew and remove screw -3-  .
    4. 2.4 Remove coolant temperature sensor (cylinder housing) -1-  .
