Removing Coolant Reservoir

WARNING:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Avoid contact with hot fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
- Unscrew nut -2-
, unclip line bracket -3-
and set positive cable -4-
aside.
Disconnecting positive cable
Information
After disconnecting hoses, close off all openings immediately using commercially available rubber stoppers.
When fitting parts, do not remove stoppers until shortly before installation.
- Open clamp -5-
using > VAS 6889 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers
and pull hose -6-
off the coolant reservoir.
Pulling off hose
- Disengage the valve -7-
and set it aside with the lines connected.
Disengaging valve
- Loosen coolant reservoir -1-
.
- 4.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the fill level sensor -8- .
- 4.2 Unclip line bracket -9- and set electric line aside.
- 4.3 Unscrew screws -10- and loosen coolant reservoir -1- .
Loosening coolant reservoir
- Open clamp -11-
using > VAS 6889 - Spring Band Clamp Pliers
and pull hose -12-
off the coolant reservoir.
Pulling off hose at the bottom
- Guide out the coolant reservoir.
