Removing Supply Line - V6 Turbo (Section From Engine To High-Pressure Pump)
- Danger of fire or explosion
→ Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
→ Use suction to remove ignitable vapors.
→ Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
→ Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
→ Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.

→ Ventilate the work area well.
→ Never ingest or inhale.
→ Read specific information on the Hazard Sheet.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Do not smoke, eat or drink in the work area.
Information
- Escaping fuel must be soaked up using suitable binding material.
- The fuel system must be depressurized before starting work on it.
- Only work on the fuel system in well-ventilated rooms.
- Any seals that were removed must always be replaced.
- Never use sealant containing silicone or silicone spray when the injection system is open. Traces of silicone drawn in by the engine are not combusted and damage the oxygen sensors.
Information
Plastic lines must not be kinked or bent as this can make them brittle and start to leak.
- Have suitable aids ready to collect emerging fuel and have suitable stoppers ready for closing off the supply line and its connection openings.
- Expose heat shield on high-pressure pump.
- 2.1 Open quick connector -1-
and pull off fuel hose.
- 2.1.1 Collect escaping fuel.
- 2.2 Unclip electric line -2- from the retaining clips -3- and expose it.

- Remove heat shield on high-pressure pump -2-

- 3.1 Unscrew fastening screws -1- .
- 3.2 Guide out heat shield on high-pressure pump -2- and remove sound absorber.

- Unclip supply line -3-

- 4.1 Unscrew fastening screw for holder -1- .
- 4.2 Unclip supply line -3- from retaining clips -2- .
Supply line on high-pressure pump
- Remove supply line -2-
from high-pressure pump.
- 5.1 Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3- .
- 5.2 Screw off fastening nuts -5- .
- 5.3 Unscrew fastening screw -1- and remove holder for camshaft controller actuator.
- 5.4 Unscrew union nut -4-

- 5.4.1 Collect escaping fuel.
- 5.5 Guide out supply line -2- .
