Draining Fuel

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. PIWIS Tester  must be connected and switched on.
  2. Switch on ignition (fuel pump is activated briefly).
  3. Drain fuel using the Tester routine in the PIWIS Tester  .
    1. 3.1 Select the Diagnostics  function.
    2. 3.2 Select the DME  control unit in the control unit overview.
    3. 3.3 Switch to the Drive links/checks  menu item.
    4. 3.4 Select All  in the Drive links/checks menu item and press F12=Next.
    5. 3.5 Select the Drain fuel tank  function and press F12 = Next.
    6. 3.6 Activate the Drain fuel tank  (= activate fuel pump) function by pressing F8 = Start. The process can be ended at any time by pressing F8 = Stop if the canister needs to be emptied.
    7. 3.7 As soon as the required amount of fuel has been drained, deactivate the Drain fuel tank  function by pressing F8 = Stop.
      1. 3.7.1 Exit the function.
    8. 3.8 Switch off ignition, switch off the PIWIS Tester  and disconnect adapter line in the vehicle.
