General Information On The Test
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
Information
- High-pressure lines must not be bent.
- Check that connection points are not damaged and are perfectly clean and check that the screws/bolts are not seized and that there is no thread damage.
- Any dirt on the conical/ball joints must be removed.
- Any seals that were removed must always be replaced.
- Before tightening connection points, all threaded joints must be fitted by hand.
- Connection points must be checked for leaks following assembly.
- Visible connection points must be checked for leaks after a test drive with the engine running (idle speed).
Before starting the test, make sure that all required tools are perfectly clean and in perfect working order.
If the fuel high-pressure system is partly disassembled, residual fuel must be removed from the removed components using compressed air. Otherwise, any residual fuel in the components can influence the test result.
All components of the fuel high-pressure system must be fitted correctly and tightened to the prescribed tightening torque.
