Removing Oil Spray Jet

  1. Remove oil windage tray -1-  .

    Oil windage tray (shown on V6)

    1. 1.1 Unscrew screws -2-  and remove oil windage tray -1-  .

    Information 

    The crankshaft must be turned only in direction of rotation of the engine.

  2. Turn the crankshaft -1-  .

    1. 2.1 Turn the crankshaft -1-  using > T40263 - wrench, 21 mm-2-  and > T40314 - adapter-3-  until the connecting rod bolts are accessible.

    Information 

    For re-installation, mark the installation position and allocation of the connecting-rod bearing caps to the cylinder and to the connecting rod.

  3. Remove the relevant connecting-rod bearing caps -1-  .

    1. 3.1 Unscrew screw -2-  and remove connecting-rod bearing cap -1-  .
  4. Remove the relevant oil spray jet -1-  .

    1. 4.1 Unscrew screw -2-  .
    2. 4.2 Remove oil spray jet -1-  .
  5. To remove other oil spray jets, repeat the procedure on the relevant oil spray jets.
