Installing Expansion Valve

→ Observe the instructions for repairing air-conditioning systems and storing spare parts.

Information

Before re-installing the expansion valve, the O-rings on the refrigerant lines must be checked for damage and replaced if necessary.
The O-rings on the refrigerant lines must be coated with refrigerant oil.

Check seals -1- on the refrigerant adapter -2- for damage and replace them if necessary.

Checking/replacing seals
Install expansion valve.
Carefully push expansion valve -2- onto the evaporator refrigerant lines -arrow- .

Tighten fastening screws -1- to the prescribed tightening torque > Tightening torque 3.5 Nm (2.5 ftlb.)
