Installing Condenser

Information 

Before re-installing the component, check the O-rings on the refrigerant lines for damage and replace them if necessary.

The O-rings on the refrigerant lines must be coated with refrigerant oil.

All refrigerant lines and connections must be closed off using suitable stoppers during removal.

Stoppers for lines and connections must not be opened until shortly before installation.

Information 

• The desiccator (dryer) cannot be replaced separately. 
• The condenser with desiccator must be replaced. 

Information 

The condenser with dryer must be replaced in the following situations: 

• Refrigerant circuit is open for > 20 minutes.
• Amount of refrigerant extracted is < 30% of the required quantity.
• Refrigerant circuit has been open for an indefinite period of time (gradual leak, stone damage to condenser).
• Air-conditioning compressor has become blocked.
• After opening the packaging and line connections on the condenser, the condenser must be installed within 20 minutes at the latest and the refrigerant circuit must be closed, evacuated and filled.

The condenser with dryer must not be replaced in the following situations: 

• If the components are closed off using stoppers immediately after opening the refrigerant circuit or the refrigerant circuit is closed and evacuated within 20 minutes at the latest.

1. Insert condenser into the bracket at the right -Arrow A-  and swivel it in at the left -Arrow B-  .

2. Clip in condenser at the top and bottom left in direction of travel.
3. Connect refrigerant lines -1-  to condenser and clip them into holder -3-  .

4. Tighten screws -2-  used to secure the refrigerant lines to the condenser to the prescribed tightening torque > Tightening torque 12 Nm (8.85 ftlb.)
