- The refrigerant R1234yf with refrigerant oil ND12 is used for the model year 2017 Cayenne.
- Only the refrigerant oil ND12 can be used for the refrigerant R1234yf.
- The refrigerant R134a is also available for certain markets and only the refrigerant oil ND8 can be used for this as well.
- The allocation of refrigerant to the vehicle is controlled using the additional equipment number (M-number) and the allocation of refrigerant and the refrigerant quantity can also be found on the sticker in the engine compartment.

- For all work on the air-conditioning system that necessitates opening the refrigerant system, the system contents must first be disposed of in accordance with regulations.
- Dirt and moisture must be kept out of the air-conditioning system pipes and hoses.
- Cleanliness must be ensured during all work.
- System components must never be cleaned on the inside with hot steam.
- Only use nitrogen for cleaning.
- When replacing a component, all openings must be closed off using suitable stoppers immediately after opening the system.

The electric air-conditioning compressor must be cleaned in the following situations:
- If different refrigerant oil must be used.
- Following an accident resulting in damage to air conditioning components
- Refrigerant circuit has been open for an indefinite period of time and is not closed off properly.
- In order to determine the refrigerant oil quantity.

- The refrigerant oil in the electric air-conditioning compressor must be removed by flushing in direction of flow (from intake on low-pressure side to outlet on high-pressure side). It is not possible to flush against the direction of flow due to the installed valves.
- In order to flush the air-conditioning compressor, it must be positioned so that the connection for the refrigerant line on the high-pressure side is as low as possible.
- If air-conditioning servicing equipment without programming is used for flushing, the procedure must be performed manually (evacuate, flush 4 times using at least 2 kg of refrigerant each time and extract the refrigerant again, evacuate).

on the electric air-conditioning compressor.
- 3.1 To do this, the quick connector on the high-pressure line of the air-conditioning servicing equipment must be removed.
- Connect low-pressure hose -10- of the air-conditioning servicing equipment (generally blue) to the outlet of the flushing device (chip filter) -9- for refrigerant circuits using the quick connector.
- Connect hose on the flushing device -8- of the air-conditioning servicing equipment to the adapter -7- on the electric air-conditioning compressor.
- Clean the refrigerant circuit as described in the operating instructions for the air-conditioning servicing equipment.
- After flushing, check the pressure in the refrigerant circuit. There must be no overpressure in the refrigerant circuit (evacuate the refrigerant circuit again briefly if necessary).
- Take into account the amount of refrigerant oil extracted from the electric air-conditioning compressor when filling the refrigerant circuit.
