Removing All-Wheel Final Drive

WARNING:
Danger of objects or loads falling down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
- Fit impact puller.
- 1.1 > 9799 - Impact puller must be fitted at the groove in the connecting shaft using four screws -1- .
Fitting tool (similar to illustration)
- Loosen connecting shaft.
- 2.1 Use > 9799 - impact puller to remove connecting shaft from all-wheel final drive -arrow- .

- Remove console.
- 3.1 Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove console -2- .
- 3.2 Remove circlip -3- .
Final drive console
- Suspend engine using workshop crane and > 3033 - lifting tackle .
- Left side of engine:
- 5.1 Loosen engine mount -4-
from engine carrier -5-

- 5.1.1 Loosen and unscrew screw -3- .
- 5.2 Press drive shaft -1- off the all-wheel final drive console -2- (-arrow- ) and guide it out carefully.

- 5.1 Loosen engine mount -4-

- Right side of engine:
- 6.1 Loosen engine mount -4-
from engine carrier -5-
.
- 6.1.1 Loosen and unscrew screw -3- .
- 6.2 Lift the engine up slightly.
- 6.3 Press drive shaft -1- off the all-wheel final drive -2- and guide it out carefully.

- 6.1 Loosen engine mount -4-
from engine carrier -5-

- Remove right engine carrier.
- 7.1 Unscrew fastening screws -1- and remove engine carrier -2- .
Right engine carrier
- Disconnect coolant lines -3-
.
- 8.1 Unscrew nut -1- and screw -2- and swivel coolant lines -3- aside.
Disconnecting coolant lines
- Remove all-wheel final drive.
- 9.1 Unscrew screws -4- and remove all-wheel final drive -3- .
