Replacing Positive Crankcase Ventilation Hose

→ Protect components from dirt and contamination.

→ Clean or replace dirty components.

Clean all line connections carefully and close them off or cover them.
Use suitable stoppers for closing off lines.

Information

Only unscrew the screw if the positive crankcase ventilation hose needs to be replaced.
Always ensure that a new screw with the part number 9A710344800 is used.

Replace positive crankcase ventilation hose -2- .
1. 1.1 Loosen screw -1- using a multiple-tooth socket wrench (M6).
2. 1.2 Drive the multiple-tooth socket wrench into the screw head using a hammer.
3. 1.3 Loosen the screw -1- using jerking movements and unscrew.
4. 1.4 Replace positive crankcase ventilation hose -2- .
5. 1.5 Fit new screw -1- and tighten using > VAS 6970 - Insert bit .
  > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
