General Assembly Instructions

However, the technical accuracy of the specifications is guaranteed.
- Unless expressly permitted, do not oil the thread or coat it with screw-locking agent.
- For assembly, coat O-rings (except for injector) or relevant contact surfaces with Kluber Syntheso Glep 1 (000.043.204.68).
- Coat injector O-rings or relevant contact surfaces with engine oil SAE 0W-40 (N.052.578.00).
- Replace seals following removal.
- Coat water hoses and rubber sleeves with Kluber Syntheso Glep 1 as required.
- For assembly, coat fuel lines and fuel pressure sensors in accordance with instruction 0P2.100.991 with Microgleit DF 977 S (000.043.209.35).
- The cylinder liner, piston and piston rings must be coated with SAE 0W-40 engine oil (N.052.578.00) for assembly.
- Coat main bearing, valve stem, valve drive, high-pressure pump and intermediate shaft with SAE 0W-40 (N.052.578.00) during assembly.
- Coat connecting-rod bearings and camshaft bearings with Renolit MP 735 (N.052.735.00) during assembly.
- For assembly, coat the crankshaft axial bearing with Castrol Optipit (000.043.204.17).
