Remove Coolant Regulator Housing

  1. Remove air guide -1-  in a downward direction.

  2. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  on the coolant regulator housing -2-  .

  3. Unclip vacuum line -1-  from clip -2-  .

  4. Unscrew screw -1-  and press vacuum line holder -2-  aside.

  5. Loosen spring band clamp -1-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  , disconnect left coolant hose -2-  and collect any escaping coolant.

  6. Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
  7. Release spring band clamps -1-  using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers  , disconnect coolant hose right -2-  and collect escaping coolant.

  8. Close off line connections using suitable stoppers.
  9. Unscrew screws -1-  and loosen cable duct -2-  .

  10. Remove guide tube for oil dipstick -1-  .

    1. 10.1 Unscrew screws -2-  .
    2. 10.2 Pull out guide tube for oil dipstick -1-  in direction -Arrow-  and guide it out of the engine compartment.
  11. Remove coolant regulator housing -1-  .

    1. 11.1 Unscrew screws -2 to 10-  .
    2. 11.2 Remove coolant regulator housing -1-  and close off openings using suitable stoppers.
    3. 11.3 Catch escaping coolant.
