Bleeding The Cooling System

The instructions in the PIWIS Tester take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy, these are the instructions that must be followed. A discrepancy may arise with later software versions.
Information
- The coolant low-temperature system must be bled using the PIWIS Tester in the following situations:
- Components of the low-temperature system are removed or replaced.
- The reservoir for the low-temperature system is empty.
- Bleed the coolant low-temperature circuit by activating the relevant routine in the PIWIS Tester.
- 1.1 Switch on the ignition.
- 1.2 Start diagnostics.
- 1.3 Select Control unit/Thermal management and confirm your selection.
- 1.4 Maintenance/repairs must now be selected.
- 1.5 Select Bleed low-temperature cooling system and press F12 to start.
- 1.6 Follow the instructions on the Tester.
- Check the coolant level of the low-temperature system in the coolant reservoir.
- 2.1 Fill in coolant until the engine coolant level in the reservoir is slightly above the Max display.
- The following step can be performed in order to check the bleeding process:
- 3.1 Charge high-voltage battery for at least 15 minutes.
