Removing Rear Apron

Information 

• The number of screws, clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment  .
• The illustrations for removing and installing are shown only on one equipment variant and can differ from the actual equipment variant  .
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .

1. Unscrew screws -2-  on the retaining frame and screw -3-  on the side panel.

2. Unclip caps -4-  on trim panel for tail light -5-  .

3. Unscrew screws -6-  and remove trim panel for tail light -5-  .

4. Unscrew screw -7-  on frame for light.

5. Mask rear apron close to the tail lights.

   Information 

   The help of another person is required.

6. Loosen rear apron.
   1. 6.1 Push a plastic wedge between the tail lights and rear apron to prevent damage to the rear apron during removal.
   2. 6.2 Unclip rear apron at both sides.
   3. 6.3 Pull rear apron to the rear until electric plug connections are easily accessible.
7. Open line clip -9-  and release and disconnect electric plug connection -8-  .

8. Remove rear apron -1-  and place it in > VAS 6760 - Storage  .
