Installing Supply Line - V8 Biturbo (Section From Engine To High-Pressure Pumps)

Make sure that locks on connections engage securely.

Replace seal for coolant pipe on cylinder head!

Coat thread on union nuts with Microgleit DF 977S. Observe drying time of at least 5 minutes before fitting!

Fastening screw for coolant pipe > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.6 ftlb.)  .

Fastening screws for heat shield on high-pressure pump, M6 x 25 >.

Fastening screws for heat shield on high-pressure pump, M6 x 12 >.

Tightening sequence for supply line: 

1. 1.1 Fit union nuts -1-  by hand.
2. 1.2 Tighten fastening screws for low-pressure supply line -2-  to > Tightening torque 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)  .
3. 1.3 Tighten union nuts -1-  to > Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 50°  .
