Preliminary Work

  1. Remove crankcase cover.

    > 101419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CRANKCASE COVER (V6 TURBO)

  2. Remove balance weight -2-  .
    1. 2.1 Get another person to counter the crankshaft if necessary.
    2. 2.2 Counter the crankshaft using > T40049 - special wrench  and loosen and unscrew screw -1-  .
    3. 2.3 Pull balance weight -2-  off the balance shaft.

  3. Remove balance shaft bracing wheel.

    > WM, 138019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING BALANCE SHAFT BRACING WHEEL (V6 TURBO)
