Loosening Main Wire Harness Under Dashboard
- Risk of damage to lines
→ The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.
→ The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.
→ If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness.
- Disconnect electric wire harness for dashboard -1- .
- Disconnect electric wire harness for the engine compartment at the right -1-
.
- 2.1 Press locking lugs -2- and unclip rubber sleeve -3- on electric wire harness in engine compartment at the right -1- .
- 2.2 Make sure that all electric plug connections on the electric wire harness in the engine compartment at the right -1-
are released and disconnected.

- 2.3 Make sure that all brackets are unclipped and released.
- 2.4 Pull electric wire harness from engine compartment at the right -1-
through the bulkhead.

- Loosen holder for mounting for electric plug connections -1- on the A-pillar at the right.
- Press sound absorber -1-
aside.

- Remove mounting housing for electric plug connection for door electrics -1- .
- Screw off nut -2-
and remove ground line -1-
from ground point on A-pillar at the right.

- Loosen cable duct -1-
and electric wire harness under the dashboard from the dashboard bracket -arrows A-

- Unclip electric line for the accelerator pedal module -1-
from clip -2-

- Disconnect electric wire harness for the plenum panel -1-
.
- 9.1 Make sure that all electric plug connections on the electric wire harness in the engine compartment at the centre for the plenum panel are released and disconnected.

- 9.2 Make sure that all brackets are unclipped and released.
- 9.3 Press rubber sleeve -2- through.
- 9.4 Pull electric wire harness (protected by a rubber boot) -1-
from the centre of the engine compartment at the plenum panel through the bulkhead.

- 9.1 Make sure that all electric plug connections on the electric wire harness in the engine compartment at the centre for the plenum panel are released and disconnected.

- 10.1 Press locking lugs and detach rubber sleeve -2- on electric wire harness for the engine compartment at the left -1- .
- 10.2 Make sure that all electric plug connections on the electric wire harness for the engine compartment at the left are released and disconnected.

- 10.3 Make sure that all brackets are unclipped and released.
- 10.4 Pull electric wire harness for the engine compartment at the left -1- through the bulkhead.
- Loosen holder for mounting for electric plug connections -1- .
- Press sound absorber -1-

- Disconnect ground line -1- on A-pillar at the left.
- Unclip electric wire harness -1-
from clips -2-
at the edge of the roof.

- Unclip electric line for roof -1- from the A-pillar.
- Remove electric plug connection for door electrics.
- Unclip electric line -1-
and set it down in the passenger compartment -arrow A-
