Preliminary Work: Notes

  1. Disconnect the battery.

    > Work instructions after disconnecting the battery 

  2. Remove carpet at the left.

    > 704119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CARPET

    Information 

    There is no need to remove the windscreen.

  3. Lower the headliner.

    > WM, 708419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ROOF TRIM PANEL

  4. Remove USB/IPOD control unit.

    > 919319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING USB/IPOD CONTROL UNIT

  5. Unscrew screws -1-  and remove USB/IPOD control unit holder -2-  .

    Unscrewing screws

  6. Remove air vent under driver's seat.

    > 887519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR VENT

  7. Remove the Gateway control unit.

    > WM, 903519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING GATEWAY CONTROL UNIT
