Loosening Main Wire Harness In Luggage Compartment

NOTE: Incorrect handling of main wire harness

Risk of damage to lines
→ The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.

→ The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.

→ If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness.

Loosen rubber sleeve -1- and pull out electric line for tail light -2- .

Release and disconnect electric plug connection for KESSY antenna in rear centre console.
> 966719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR KESSY ANTENNA
Unclip and disconnect electric plug connections -2- at the connection point on the bumper -1- .

Release and disconnect electric plug connection on the garage door opener control unit.
> 967919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR GARAGE DOOR OPENER

Remove electric line for rear apron -1- .

7.1 Unclip electric line for rear apron -1- (-arrows- ).

7.2 Loosen rubber sleeve -2- and pull electric line for rear apron -1- through into the passenger compartment.

Disconnect ground line -1- .

8.1 Unscrew nuts -2- and remove ground line -1- .

8.2 Cut tie-wrap -3- .

Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the valve unit.
> Replacing valve unit
Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the air supply module.
> Removing and installing compressor
Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the compressor.
> Removing and installing compressor
Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the PDCC control unit.
> Removing and installing PDCC control unit
Unclip electric line for the air suspension -1- (-arrows- ) and pull it through towards the wheel housing.

Disconnect electric line -1- from the wheel housing.

14.1 Unclip electric line -1- from the wheel housing -arrows- .

14.2 Pierce through rubber sleeve -2- and pull electric line -1- through into the passenger compartment.

1. 17.1 Unscrew screw -3- .
2. 17.2 Open cable duct -4- and remove electric line.
Disconnect electric line -1- from right wheel guide.

1. 18.1 Unclip electric line -1- at right wheel guide -Arrows- .
2. 18.2 Pierce through rubber sleeve -2- and pull electric line -1- through towards the wheel housing.

Unclip electric line -1- from the holder.

19.1 Unscrew and remove screws -2- .

19.2 Remove bracket -3- and unclip electric line -1- from the holder.

Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the rear left belt retractor.

Release and disconnect electric plug connections on the ParkAssist warning buzzer.

Release and disconnect electric plug connections at connection point for wire harness for tailgate at the left.

Disconnect electric line -1- on the D-pillar.

23.1 Release locking lugs -arrows- and unclip holder -2- with electric plug connections.

23.2 Unscrew nut -3- and remove ground line.
