Measuring System Setup

Information 

On vehicles with air suspension, set the chassis height to Normal level (MEDIUM HEIGHT)  .

1. Perform initial chassis measurement and adjust the chassis if necessary.

   > WM, 449503 PERFORMING FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT

2. > VAS 6430/3 - ACC reflector mirror  and > VAS 6430/6 - Enhanced night vision calibration unit  must be aligned parallel with the front of the vehicle

3. Distance -A-  between setting device and vehicle must be 1200 mm.
4. > VAS 6430/3 - ACC reflector mirror  must be aligned and balanced using the spirit levels.

5. VAS 6350/3A Linear laser  (contained in > VAS 6350A - Calibration unit  set) must be fitted on > VAS 6430/6 - Enhanced night vision calibration unit  . VAS 6350/3A Linear laser  must now be switched on. A laser beam is projected onto the front of the vehicle > VAS 6430/1A - Setting Device with Reflector  must be aligned by turning the crank on the back so that the laser beam hits the centre of the camera lens of the night vision camera in its horizontal position.
6. > VAS 6430/6 - Enhanced night vision calibration unit  must be switched on and pre-heated.

   If calibration is cancelled because the calibration plate is too cold, the fault memory must be cleared before trying to perform calibration again.
