Preliminary Work
- If the instrument cluster must be replaced:
> WM, 902555 REPLACE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
Information
Before starting to remove the instrument cluster , the fuse for the instrument cluster must be removed from the fuse box.
The installation position of the fuse is shown in the wiring diagram for the vehicle.
- The fuse for the instrument cluster must be removed from the fuse box before starting to remove the instrument cluster.
- Move steering wheel down fully and out as far as it will go.
- Remove upper dashboard moulding on driver's side.

- Remove dashboard trim panels on the driver's side.
> WM, 701619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DASHBOARD TRIM PANELS (ON DRIVER'S SIDE)
- Remove trim panel under dashboard.
- Remove upper part of steering column casing.
- Remove (lower) dashboard moulding on passenger's side.
