Information: 

• The vehicle, components and adhesives must be brought to processing temperature (acclimatized) before getting started. Processing temperature must be maintained for approx. 30 minutes before starting to work on the bonding surfaces  .
• Bonding surfaces must be free from oil, old adhesive, dirt, moisture, and layers of paint and oxide  .
• Body structural adhesive and primer must only be used on bare metal parts  .
• Only use abrasive products based on pure silicon carbide (SIC) for sanding/grinding down the bonding area until bare  .
• Always wear clean gloves when touching the cleaned surfaces to ensure that no sweat from your hands or dirt is transferred onto the bonding surface  .
• Apply primer within 5 minutes on bare surfaces, particularly on aluminum components. Work in sections on large components and carry out intermediate sanding  .
• The jointing operation must take place directly after application of the adhesive in order to guarantee a high quality and reliable bond. Otherwise the adhesive bead must be removed, with pre-treatment of the surface and application of the adhesive being repeated  .
• After adhesive has hardened, carefully prime accessible bonding areas and seal with body sealant. Protect bonding areas in cavities against corrosion using cavity preservation  .

Information: 

• Process the adhesive within the processing time. The adhesive must be applied and the body part must be joined within this time period. Any resistance welding or mechanical joining procedures (e.g. riveting, screwing) to be carried out in the bonding area must also be performed within this time period  .
• Do not put pressure on bonded parts until hardening is complete! 
• If the contents of the cartridge is not used up completely, the processing nozzle must be left on the cartridge until the adhesive hardens. If you intend to use the adhesive again later, a new processing nozzle must be used  .

Information: 

During cold periods, overnight or in cold countries, appropriate steps must be taken to ensure that the minimum hardening temperature is reached.

• Optimize heating system settings, e.g. deactivate night-time lowering of temperature  .
• Keep doors and windows closed; avoid droughts  .
• Install auxiliary heaters in the body repair area  .
