Preliminary work for cylinders 4-6

Information 

• For better access in the engine compartment, use support 9866  .
• Fit support -1-  instead of torque support.
• The engine can be moved by turning the hexagon (a/f 17) to the left or right.

1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the air-cleaner box. → 242519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE AIR CLEANER HOUSING
3. Drain coolant. → 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT
4. Remove reservoir. → 194019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RESERVOIR
5. Remove the high-pressure line from pump to rail cylinder 4-6. → 249019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE FUEL LINE (HIGH-PRESSURE)
6. Remove the high-pressure pump. → 246319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP .
7. Loosen the vent line on the cylinder head cover.
   1. 7.1. Unscrew the vent line screw on the cylinder head cover and remove the line and oil separator.
   2. 7.2. Pull the vent line off the throttle housing.
8. Remove the ignition coils. → 282020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE IGNITION COILS
9. Loosen the cable guide screw of the ignition coil wiring harness on the cylinder head cover.

10. Remove the actuators for the camshaft adjustment. → 153719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE SOLENOID/HYDRAULIC VALVE (ACTUATORS) FOR THE CAMSHAFT CONTROLLER  Tool recommendation: Insert part for torque wrench 9792 
11. Engine with support Tip the support 9866  to the right in the direction of travel.
12. Loosen the fastening screw on the air-conditioning line holder.
