Preliminary work

  1. Remove engine. → 100119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE
  2. Separating transmission from the engine.→ 373427 REMOVING AND MOUNTING DOUBLE CLUTCH TRANSMISSION (PORSCHE DOPPEL KUPPLUNG (PDK))
  3. Secure engine on assembly support. → 1001IN SECURING ENGINE TO ASSEMBLY SUPPORT (MOUNTING BRACKET)
  4. Drain engine oil.→ 170117 DRAINING AND FILLING ENGINE OIL (CHANGING ENGINE OIL) .
  5. Remove drive belt.→ 137819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE BELT .
  6. Remove coolant hoses in front of the chain housing cover.

    Information 

    To make the assembly steps as easy as possible, the engine must be turned to "TDC" position before disassembly.

  7. Turn engine to TDC  .
  8. Remove both cylinder head covers. → 158219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CYLINDER HEAD COVER 
  9. Remove pulley. → 137619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PULLEY (VIBRATION BALANCER)
  10. Remove joint flange from crankshaft sealing ring for pulley.→ 137419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CRANKSHAFT SEALING RING FOR PULLEY/VIBRATION BALANCER
    1. 10.1. Replace joint flange.
  11. Remove both turbochargers. → 213019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TURBOCHARGER
  12. Remove oil pan. → 175019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OIL PAN
  13. Remove oil guide housing. → 175019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OIL GUIDE HOUSING
  14. Remove chain tensioner. → 153619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CHAIN TENSIONER
