Subsequent work

  1. Install steering column → 481519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING STEERING COLUMN .
  2. Vehicles with electrically adjustable steering column (2C4):  .
    1. 2.1. Following installation: Perform Teach steering column adjustment  function using the PIWIS Tester  .
    2. 2.2. Front-end electronics control unit  must be selected.
    3. 2.3. Select the Maintenance/repairs  menu.
    4. 2.4. Activate the Teach steering column adjustment  routine with [F8].
  3. Vehicles with electronic steering column lock (0RC):  If the control unit was replaced  , perform Immobilizer commissioning  function using the PIWIS Tester  .
    1. 3.1. If the control unit was only converted, this is not required!
