Assembling steering wheel

The steering wheel is assembled in reverse order to disassembly. Pay particular attention to the following:

1. Tighten fastening screws -1-  on the contact bridge -2-  . Tightening torque 6 Nm (4.5 ft. lb.) 

   Check that the springs are fitted between the contact bridge and steering wheel skeleton and check that they are seated correctly.

   Information 

   Multi-functional switches can be used immediately after installation. They do not need to be coded.

2. Fit multi-functional switch -2-  with cables and front trim -3-  into the main cover.

   Check cable routing! Route cables under the plastic lugs, see marked positions.

3. Tighten fastening screws -1-  for the multi-functional switch -2-  and front trim -3-  . Tightening torque 0.45 Nm (0.25 ft. lb.)

4. Tighten fastening screws -1-  for main trim. Tightening torque 2 Nm (1.5 ft. lb.)

5. Insert paddles into guides -1-  and -2-  .

6. Tighten fastening screws -1-  for the paddles -2-  . Tightening torque 2.5 Nm (2 ft. lb.)

7. Insert control unit -1-  at the rear in the steering wheel and lock it.

   Then lock the control unit at the front in the steering wheel at position.

8. Tighten fastening screws -1-  on rear cover -2-  . Tightening torque 2.7 Nm (2 ft. lb.)
