Removing brake booster

- Separate brake pedal from brake booster.
1 - Brake pedal 2 - Push rod 3 - Retaining lugs - 1.1. Press the brake pedal -1- towards the brake booster.
- 1.2. Release tool T40136 must be fitted on the ball joint on the push rod -2- .
- 1.3. To press the retaining lugs -3- on the mounting off the ball joint on the push rod -2- , pull release tool T40136 towards the driver's seat and counter at the brake pedal -1- at the same time (the brake pedal must not move towards the driver's seat).
- 1.4. Release tool T40136 and brake pedal must both be pulled towards the driver's seat.
- Pull vacuum line -2- out of the brake booster.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
for the mounting saddle.
Information
- When fitting the brake booster -1- , make sure not to damage the seal -3- and the boot -4- on the push rod -2- .
- Check retaining lugs for the push rod through the opening in the plenum panel for signs of damage .
- Remove brake booster -3- .
