Removing brake master cylinder

Information
- In the event of assembly work at the hydraulic connections, all electric plug connections in the area of the connection point must always be connected. This prevents the inside of the plug connections from being splashed with brake fluid or water .
- Clean any plug connections that have become dirty or damp during removal and fitting using a lintfree cloth, for example .
- Brake fluid on electrical contacts (even thinned brake fluid) leads to corrosion and can cause faults in the system .
- Remove any escaping brake fluid immediately; rinse with water and dry thoroughly if necessary .
- Place a suitable cloth underneath to catch any emerging brake fluid.
- Drain brake fluid from the brake fluid reservoir using a suitable tool, e.g. a double-action hand pump.
- Remove brake fluid reservoir -1-

- 3.1. Release and disconnect connector -2- (protect against contact with brake fluid if necessary).
- 3.2. Unscrew locking pin -3- .
- 3.3. Remove brake fluid reservoir -1- .
- 3.4. Wipe up any escaping brake fluid immediately and rinse away residues using plenty of water.
- Screw off brake lines -2-
on the brake master cylinder
- 4.1. Unscrew union nuts.
- 4.2. Pull brake lines out of the brake master cylinder.
- 4.3. Close off brake lines using suitable stoppers.
- Screw off fastening nuts -1-

- Remove brake master cylinder.
