Installing coolant regulator

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Porsche Macan and 2015 Porsche Macan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Information

Damaged coolant regulators must be replaced.

Use water-soluble assembly gel "Kluberplus S06-100" with the number 000 043 205 93 (status 06/08) for the sealing rings on the coolant regulator. Dilute it 50:50 with water.

  1. Replace sealing rings on the coolant regulator and coat them lightly with "Kluberplus S06-100". Figure shows coolant regulator with disassembly cable. Check that the sealing rings -1-  are fitted at the correct position (sealing rings must not be installed the wrong way round).

  2. Push coolant regulator through the opening in the crankcase and in the coolant regulator housing. When doing this, make sure that the cable connection is facing upwards.
  3. Check that the coolant regulator was fitted as far as it will go. You must not be able to feel any overhang or underhang between the coolant regulator and crankcase. The coolant regulator must be seated flush in the crankcase.
