Removing coolant regulator housing

Loosen clamps and pull off coolant hoses -1 - and -2- .

1.1. Soak up emerging coolant with a cloth.

Loosen the vent line on the cylinder heads.

1. 2.1. Unscrew and remove fastening screws -1- .
2. 2.2. Remove vent line -2- .
Remove wiring harness screws on the cylinder heads and at the water guide and loosen the wiring harness. → see figure below

Disconnect coolant pipe -4- , pull it forward and set it aside.

4.1. Unscrew screw -3- and pull off coolant pipe -4- .

4.2. Soak up emerging coolant with a cloth.

Unscrew the screws on the coolant regulator housing -2- and loosen coolant regulator housing -1- by pulling it upwards. The coolant pipe -1- (bottom figure) remains fitted in the coolant regulator housing.

Remove the two coolant hoses from the coolant pipe behind the cable duct (figure shows several coolant hoses). → Coolant line Remove coolant regulator housing with coolant pipe.

Disconnect coolant regulator housing and coolant pipe if necessary. Replace sealing rings.
