Installing coolant pump

Information 

• The coolant pump on the V6 bi-turbo engine has a color marking with the inscription V8 on the housing  .
• Mark a coolant pump on the V6 bi-turbo engine clearly with a marker/pen if the V8 inscription is missing  .

1. Clean sealing faces. Fit coolant pump with a new seal.

   3	Screw, M6 x 25

2. Screw in and tighten fastening screws. → Tightening sequence for coolant pump Tightening torque 12 Nm (9 ft lb.)

   Information 

   Incorrect handling of pulley 

   • Risk of damage to pulley 

   → The pulley is sensitive to impact. Do not prise off the pulley with a screwdriver.

   → Do not re-use a damaged pulley.

3. Fit the pulley on the coolant pump. Screw in the three fastening screws by hand.
4. Screw in and tighten the three fastening screws on the coolant pump pulley. Block the pulley using a counter-hold tool Counter-hold tool Nr.38  if necessary. Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ft lb.)
