Installing hall-sender rotor

Information 

• Check the hall-sender rotor before installing it.
• The hall-sender rotor must not come into contact with a magnet.
• If the hall-sender rotor does come into proximity of a magnet, replace it without exception.

Information 

Sealing rings become damaged as a result of improper fitting. Do not oil sealing rings on the running surface and do not pull sealing rings off the plastic sleeve.

1. Fit hall-sender rotor to crankshaft flange using the insertion tool 9837  .
   1. 1.1. While doing so align the centering notch -1-  of the insertion tool 9837  to the centering pin of the crankshaft flange.
   2. 1.2. Press rotor for hall sender only slightly onto the crankshaft flange in order to align the TDC marking.

2. Tighten the screws -2-  .

3. Slide the upper insertion tool 9837 -1-  onto the lower insertion tool 9837  .
   1. 3.1. Pay attention to the centering pin -2-  .

4. Insert the centering pin -2-  into the "TDC marking" -1-  on the hall-sender rotor.
   1. 4.1. Turn the hall-sender rotor slightly if necessary.

5. Tighten central screw -1-  as far as possible and press in the hall-sender rotor -3-  .

6. Unscrew the insertion tool 9837  central screw.
   1. 6.1. Remove the upper insertion tool 9837  .
   2. 6.2. Undo the screws -2-  and remove the lower insertion tool 9837  .

7. Slide the crankshaft pulse sender -1-  onto the hall-sender rotor -2-  .
