Removing lower part of lid lock

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment  .
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant  .
• Some steps must be carried out automatically  .
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .

1. Remove pressure pipe. (Only if fitted) → 214119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PRESSURE PIPE
2. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  securing lower part of lid lock -2-  to lock carrier.
3. Remove lower part of lid lock -2-  by pulling it up.

4. Unclip microswitch on lower part of lid lock.
5. Disengage ball joints -1-  for the operating cables -2-  from lower part of lid lock.
6. Unclip operating cables -2-  on lower part of lid lock.
7. Remove lower part of lid lock.
