Subsequent work

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Porsche Macan and 2015 Porsche Macan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Bleed the brake system → 470107 BLEEDING THE BRAKE SYSTEM .
  2. Install front left trim panel → 700219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT TRIM PANEL .
  3. Bleed the brake lines again (following conventional bleeding)  using PIWIS Tester II 9818  (secondary brake circuit bleeding).

    To do this, select:

    > Control unit overview 

    > PSM 

    > Maintenance/repairs 

    > Bleed brakes 

    To finish, follow the menu guidance in PIWIS Tester II 9818  .

  4. If the hydraulic unit was replaced, code the control unit for the hydraulic unit → 453055 REPLACING HYDRAULIC UNIT .
  5. Carry out a swap test using PIWIS Tester II 9818  .

    To do this, select:

    > Control unit overview 

    > PSM 

    > Maintenance/repairs 

    > Hydraulic swap test 

    To finish, follow the menu guidance in PIWIS Tester II 9818  .

  6. Perform a function test.
    1. 6.1. During the test drive, perform at least one ABS control operation, taking the road conditions into consideration.
    2. 6.2. On vehicles with PDK transmission, test the HOLD function if possible. If the combination sensor has been taught incorrectly, the Hold function will not be active for inclines of more than 5%!
    3. 6.3. Read out the fault memory. There must not  be any stored faults.
