Removing DME control unit

NOTE: Voltage peaks

Risk of damage to electrical load or to the control unit

→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Information

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work .
Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation .
Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts .

Switch off ignition and pull remote control out of ignition lock.

Remove filler neck from the windscreen-washer reservoir -1 - .

2.1. Unscrew fastening screws -2- .

2.2. Pull filler neck out of the windscreen-washer reservoir and remove it.

Unscrew fastening screws -1, 2 and 4- and remove cover -3- on the fuse box.

Release electric plug connections -A- and pull DME control unit out of the fuse box housing -B- .
