Removing oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter on cylinder bank 1-3

NOTE: Incorrect handling of oxygen sensors

Damage to oxygen sensors
Different exhaust emission behavior

→ Do not remove the plastic cap on the thread until just prior to fitting.

→ Protect oxygen sensors from impact of any kind.

→ Do not kink or twist the cables when screwing in the sensors.

→ Do not re-use dirty or damaged components.

Information

For better access in the engine compartment, use support 9866 .
Support -1- can be fitted instead of the torque support .
The engine can then be moved by turning the hexagon (a/f 17) to the left or right .

Disconnect transmission oil line at the cylinder head.

1.1. Unscrew screws -1- on transmission oil line holder -2- .

Disconnect electric line for oxygen sensor.

2.1. Remove electric line -1- from the holders.
2.2. Loosen electric connector -2- from the holder -3- and release and disconnect it.

2.3. Expose electric line -1- .

Remove oxygen sensor.

3.1. Unscrew oxygen sensor -1- using socket insert a/f 17 T10491 -2- .
