Special notes for vehicles with air suspension

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Porsche Macan and 2015 Porsche Macan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

On vehicles with air suspension, the vehicle must be set to normal level. The vehicle may be aligned and adjusted in this position only.

If the control unit or one of the level sensors was replaced, calibration must be carried out using the Porsche System Tester. → 430115 CALIBRATING THE LEVELLING SYSTEM

Adjust vehicle to normal level:

  1. Drive vehicle onto the wheel-alignment platform, switch off engine and move selector lever to position P.
  2. PIWIS Tester II 9818  must now be connected.

Do not get into or out of the vehicle while adjusting the vehicle to normal level and after adjusting it to normal level for suspension alignment. This can give false alignment results  .

  3. Select >>Levelling system/PASM<<>>Drive links/checks<<>>Adjust vehicle level<< in the control unit overview.
  4. Select the value Low level 1  and press [F8] to start. The vehicle adjusts to Low Level.
  5. Once Low Level has been reached, select Normal Level  and press [F8] to start. The vehicle now adjusts to Normal Level.
