Checking vehicle height

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Porsche Macan and 2015 Porsche Macan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. To check the height, position ready-to-drive vehicle (fully tanked with tyre repair kit or spare wheel and tools) on a flat surface or on the measuring station. The normal vehicle level must be set for vehicles with air suspension. Please read: Special notes for vehicles with air suspension 
  2. On vehicles with air suspension/levelling system, switch off the levelling system (and switch it back on again when work is complete).
    1. 2.1. Use PIWIS Tester II 9818  to select >>Levelling system/PASM<<>>Drive links/checks<<>>Activate/deactivate vehicle<< in the control unit overview.
    2. 2.2. Select the value Deactivate levelling system (permanently)  and press [F8] to start. The levelling system is now switched off.
  3. Compress vehicle at front and rear axles by approximately 25 mm 2-3 times and allow it to spring back freely.
  4. Open the bonnet.
  5. Measure the vehicle height -dimension 1-  at all four wheels on the vehicle.
