Information on wheel bolts

Use a suitable commercially available tool (a/f 19 mm). Never use an impact bolter to loosen and tighten the wheel bolts.
Use original Macan wheel bolts only.
Wheel bolts must never be reworked.
Replace damaged wheel bolts. This damage includes mechanical damage to the thread, the spherical cap and damage resulting from seizure of the bolt head bearing surface and spherical cap ring. It must be possible to rotate the spherical cap ring on the bolt shank and move it in axial direction.
Never grease the wheel bolts and security wheel bolts.

1	Spherical cap ring (permanently connected to the wheel bolt)
2	Spherical cap bearing surface facing the rim. Do not grease.
3	Thread. Do not grease.
Contact surfaces between the bolt head and spherical cap ring. Do not grease.
